Cottage Cheese Jello Salad Recipe. Ingredients: 15 oz. can crushed pineapple; 3 oz. box cherry or strawberry Jello; 16 oz. carton cottage cheese; 8 oz. container Cool Whip . Drain the pineapple. Get as much liquid out of the pineapple as you can or the salad will end up being too runny. No one likes runny Jello salad! Place the cottage cheese in a large bowl.
This is a light fruit salad that goes well with chicken or pork. The cottage cheese keeps it from being overly sweet. Please note prep time includes chilling time. Kids like this, too!
