Hired a paint contractor w/good recommendations, this room was 12x12 tops. Caulking, sanding and caulking 2 window sills, painted ceilings and walls 1 coat but 2 different colors, plain 1/4" x3" baseboards & 4 doors oil-based trim, w/2 doors only 1 side. We provided paint at $180, he ended up hiring day laborers & had to redo. Took 14 days, looks good now but need to paint more and I'm scared b/c we had a contract & he tried to extort more very very threatening & I have to now work by sq. ft. in other areas, don't want to be nickel & dimmed for every time repair (he charged $50 because our dog's nose touched a wet wall but they let him in)! Any ideas from others in my area? Actually done in 2014, doesn't allow for it.

I was a professional painter way way back for a company. Now I am dabbling in working around the neighborhood here and there and needed to know how much I should charge. I recently painted an entire home including woodwork / doors / windows/ baseboards and the paint costs $230 ish and I did it free for my best friend . It took me 4 days to do . 7am-9pm . It turned out absolutely beautiful , and every room was a different color .

We needed multiple projects as we were renovating a 60+ year old home while moving in. One project required Judit to integrate five disparate pieces of furniture to accommodate a dining room table we were importing from Sweden. She visited the showroom an inspected the floor model of the table and with that alone she perfectly matched all five pieces (corner china closet, low boy, sideboard, and two chairs) into a flawless dining room where she integrated modern, transitional and mission style furnishings within a singular, sleek presentation. Everyone that we entertain thinks we bought the pieces as a set. Secondly we had a beautiful maple sofa table that I attempted to stain. We needed the table for our entryway. Judit brainstormed a chalk paint solution that retained the beautiful table top but added a modern flair to the body of the table that matched both our extensive artwork and decor. Finally, we decided we wanted to update our kitchen but retain its' character. Judit faux distressed our cabinets and drawers mixing colors to create an aesthetic effect that pulls color from our Brazilian granite counter tops and restored flooring. She went further then just faux painting, she sanded, patched and repaired the old cabinets to ensure they were smooth and renewed. She even stained an island we built along one wall so that it provides contrast to the room. Now our kitchen is exceptionally unique and beautiful. We love older homes and this is our fourth renovation. This is bar none the most professional and exceptionally beautiful work I've had the pleasure to witness. Judit's talent, eye for beauty, and artistic skill as well as warm personality made what seemed impossible, exceptional.
