"Westside Building and Restoration Inc. Can be trusted to provide an accurate and reasonable quote and deliver an excellent end result. We had our 30 year old deck restored and they really did a great job. Half way through the job I made a change to our request and they didn t miss a beat. From the friendly voice that answers the phone and stays in touch throughout the job, the experienced owner who estimates and manages the job and the carpenters and painters who do quality work you can trust Westside to do an excellent job. this was the estimate i received and well - hard to describe area - double hight ceiling entry foyer plus stairway up to hallway. painted hallway as well with 2 coats plus did a coat of white over all trim/molding/door frames - 6 of them - and repaired some minor molding cracks. we are supplying the paint. at first i thought this was high but then, well, it was better than doing it myself and the painter was highly recommended and he's very nice.
I am a Handyman and I do pretty much all types of fixing, including painting. On this month I had a lady called me for a bid. 19 interior doors with cases included both sides, one exterior door (just one side) and, about 400 sqf of baseboard. My bid was for 1000.00 custumer will buy the paint. My question is, was I too expensive or way cheap?. Considering that she lives in that house and I have to cover up all the things she has in it. Plus I will use my sprayless. Thank you for your help folks#!
A gallon of paint costs $15 to $40 and covers about 350 square feet with one coat. Designer varieties can run over $100 per gallon. Your contractor pays 50 percent less than what it runs in a home improvement store. You’ll also need to spend another $20 to $100 on supplies like brushes, rollers, masking paper and plastic. A professional will have these items on-hand.

"I needed to get my house painted quickly and professionally to get it ready for the market as soon as possible. Mr. Corzo responded immediately to my need for an estimate and arrived that day. He offered a fair estimate to paint the entire interior and exterior of my home. Job was completed in estimated amount of time and to my satisfaction. Walter does great work and I would recommend him without hesitation. He was on time, courteous, professional, and an excellent painter,"
People need to realize that if you want a licensed, insured professional painter in your home that is reputable, trustworthy & skilled, that it will cost them an average of $400.00 a day. If you want a nice paint job then it is all about prep work. There is tarping, plastic, furniture moving, caulking, spackling, sanding, priming, sealing, before you even paint. I have repainted interiors that were painted less than a year because the last contractor came in with a cheap price, did zero prep work, & painted with watered down paint. My point, A house is usually the most valuable asset a person will purchase, so why would you let just anyone with a cheap quote work on it? “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten” – Benjamin Franklin
"I had Sam and his team come in to repaint our kitchen cabinets that were originally a dark wood stain. He cleaned, sanded, primed, and put on 2 coats of sheer white on both the doors and frames of the cabinet and they came out great. The kitchen is much brighter and even up close it is hard to tell that the original cabinets were not white. They were prompt and very communicative over the phone. We may soon hire them back to paint the kitchen next."
